Project Description
FMI operates an open-pit, surface periphery copper mine located in West Central Arizona. The open-pit mine includes a small pond in the pit bottom that collects water that enters the pit. Due to changes in the mine plan the 2450 pump station was designed to help in the dewatering of the bottom of the pit and push water outside the pit limits. The system included approximately 8,700 feet of 12"/16"/18"/20" HDPE pipeline, 900' of 16" SS piping, SS piping header/misc. piping, (2) 800 hp pumps, 25,000 gallon tank, misc concrete pads and anchor block, switchgear, transformer and ground grid.
